9th Cycle Craftworks

In a world where fashion is quickly disposable, come the latest trend, and so much fabric ends up on the cutting room floor, I knew that this little accessory shop of mine had to represent something more...

At the fabric store, I avert my eyes from all the rolls and head straight to the scrap bins. Piled high with bits and pieces, I can always find some small treasures. I also communicate with dress makers and upholsterers who generally work with larger pieces of fabric. All those extra bits they can't use, well, I'm happy to take it off their hands! Working with smaller fabric pieces often limits the amount of a certain product I can make, BUT it also means you're likely to get a one of a kind item!

I start with the largest item I can make, and work my way down to the smallest. From a bag to a bobby pin.
