MuSkin: Mushroom Leather

MuSkin: Mushroom Leather

WHAT IS MUSKIN (Mushroom Leather)?

MuSkin is a vegan leather which is produced using skin of mushroom caps.

HOW IS IS MUSKIN MADE?

Grown from the extraction of mushroom caps in a controlled environment in large sheets. A cow sized hyde will grow in approximately 2 months. Muskin can be dried then moulded and can assimilate any type of animal skin during the moulding process.

WHAT DOES MUSHROOM LEATHER FEEL LIKE?

Suede-like. Softer, more breathable, and more water-repellent than ordinary leather. It is also said to be easily mouldable.

WHAT IS MUSKIN USED FOR?

Ideal for the use in close-to-skin applications and thanks to its very natural origin it limits bacteria proliferation. Bags, wallets, shoes, hats & clothing (as a vegan leather substitute).

WHAT ARE MUSKIN’S ECO-BENEFITS?

• Vegan (no animals are harmed in it’s making) leather made from mushrooms
• Non-toxic tanning process
• 100% Biodegradable
