Sarah Turner – Plastic Bottle Art

Sarah Turner – Plastic Bottle Art

You may have read about Sarah Turner in a post we featured earlier last year. Basically what Sarah does, is take discarded plastic bottles and turn them into beautiful art by cleverly washing, sandblasting, sculpting, joining, and in this case, inserting lights into them.

Her projects educate the general public, that although plastic bottles seem harmless, there are actually 340 BILLION that end up in landfill each year causing a massive amount of polluting waste in many countries.

Her latest project at Night Light Nottingham, displays a family wholely made from recycled bottles, complete with children and even dog! All bottles were collected from local households and cafe’s.

You can read more about Sarah and wonderful work here.
