Sustainability with Style

I purchased the Kindle edition of Sustainability with Style before leaving for a holiday. I must admit … my intention was to browse the pages and dip in to selected parts of the book based on the chapter titles that resonated with me. This didn’t happen.  I read every single page and was completely engaged and intrigued by Lisa Heinze’s insights and anecdotes. I loved her openness and authenticity as she described the trials and tribulations of a major transition from being a not so conscious consumer to living a life as a dedicated environmentalist.

Lisa Heinze is an ethical fashion advocate and  PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. She is also the co-founder of Clean Cut, Australia’s sustainable fashion council. Her book, Sustainability with Style is very thought provoking and incorporates interesting cultural and social observations.

Through the sharing of personal experiences and research, Heinze offers a plethora of ways to incorporate environmentalism and positive change into everyday life, without forsaking style.

I particularly liked ‘Lisa’s guide to living sustainably with style’ which synthesises her learnings and provides some guidelines and actions we can implement to help us on our own journey towards sustainable living.
